Complete Health Improvement Program (CHIP)

Change Your Lifestyle, Change Your Life

When it comes to better health, you don’t have to go it alone. Join others in the Complete Health Improvement Program (CHIP) to make long-lasting lifestyle changes.

CHIP is a lifestyle enrichment program designed to reduce risk factors for disease through improved health habits and lifestyle modifications. The program focuses on dietary choices, daily exercise, support systems and stress reduction to help you lose weight and prevent or reverse conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes and depression.

Are you ready?

Take the first step to change your life.

Many locations hold multiple sessions. Be sure to read carefully to find both a place and time that best suits your schedule.

Step 2:  Register for and complete the CHIP course

Attend the 18-session course, either in person or online. Pre-registration is required.

We offer many sessions, and some locations offer multiple courses. Be sure to check each page carefully to find the best fit for your schedule.

Step 3: Continue with CHIP Club

Chip Club is a monthly get together for CHIP graduates to share ideas and motivation to continue with their new lifestyle habits. A variety of activities are scheduled for this year including cooking demos, goal setting workshops and grocery store tours. Times and locations vary. Check out our Facebook page or contact us through the link below for more information.

About CHIP

CHIP is based on the fact that 75% or more of our Western diseases are “lifestyle-related,” according to the U.S. Surgeon General. These diseases are connected to our processed diet; lack of exercise; overuse of cigarettes, alcohol, and caffeine; increased levels of stress; and the quality of our support systems.

These diseases/conditions include:

  • Heart disease
  • Stroke
  • Hypertension
  • Diabetes/prediabetes
  • Overweight/obesity
  • Certain adult cancers
  • Diverticular disease
  • Constipation
  • Heartburn
  • Arthritis
  • Impotence
  • Depression/anxiety
  • Fatigue
  • Alzheimer's disease
  • High cholesterol
  • And many other chronic diseases

Comprehensive Health Screening Included

At the beginning of your CHIP course, you’ll undergo a health screening, including blood work, to establish your risk factors. Your results will be provided to you early in the program. You’ll be encouraged to share your results with your health care provider so you can work closely regarding your medications and lifestyle modifications. The screening will be repeated at the end of the course and you’ll receive a detailed report comparing your risk factor levels before and after.
