    Yoga helps integrate the mind, body and breath in ways that can help expecting couples prepare for birth. Expectant couples will learn gentle yoga postures, breath-work, and visualization, as well as comfort and labor support techniques. We’ll also practice methods of pain relief and ways to increase relaxation during labor. This class includes: • Partner yoga postures • Application of positions in labor • Breath work and the mind-body connection • Massage, counter-pressure and other partner supported techniques to provide comfort during labor • Working with a stability “birthing” ball • Language; how to support the birthing mom with sensitivity and confidence • Relaxation skills for stress and labor • Fear release, guided relaxation for the birthing couple • Bonding with the baby
