  • The insomnia education class is designed to review how insomnia develops, persists over time, and is treated. The class provides an overview of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia and explains how individuals may adapt these strategies to use on their own. We will also discuss both individual and group treatment formats for insomnia at the Lifestyle Medicine clinic. 

    This class is appropriate for anyone referred to the Lifestyle Medicine clinic for treatment of insomnia or individuals that would like to learn more about insomnia and how to treat it. 

    This class is not required to schedule an appointment for treatment of insomnia but rather is an additional resource for individuals interested in learning more about treating insomnia on their own and/or who would like to learn more about treatment before deciding to schedule appointments for assessment and treatment of insomnia.

  • The Complete Health Improvement Program (CHIP) course is an 18-session, whole-person health program that will help you make long-lasting lifestyle changes. You'll learn how to integrate optimal nutrition, exercise, and stress reduction tools into your life.

    Please attend an information session to learn more prior to registering for a course.

    The CHIP course includes:

    • Lab screenings
    • Biometric measures
    • Textbook
    • Workbook
    • Cookbook
    • Exercise book
    • Group discussion and peer support

    Class dates are: 

    • July 6-September 21, 2020, on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-6:30 p.m.
    • August 17-October 15, 2020, on Mondays and Thursdays from 12-12:30 p.m.
    • September 15-November 12, 2020, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-6:30 p.m.
    • October 12-December 9, 2020, on Mondays and Wednesdays from 12-12:30 p.m.

    Classes will be held twice a week for nine weeks.

  • Attend an information session to learn more about the Complete Health Improvement Program (CHIP) and ask questions—without any obligation to participate. Through this interactive session that features video and discussion, you'll get a comprehensive overview of the course, including how it can help reduce or prevent diseases and health issues—some that you may have or be at risk for.

    Attending an information session is required before registering for the CHIP course. You may register for an upcoming course at an information session.
