Prepare for Your MyChart Video Visit
All video visits use MyChart. You must have an active account before your appointment.

- Please allow time for setup It's quick process—it’s quick, but best done in advance.
For children under 14: A parent or guardian must have a MyChart account with proxy access to the child’s medical record. Learn how to set up proxy access.
For teens 14-17: You can log in to your own MyChart account. Note: You many need additional registration steps, as state law may limit your ability to consent to treatment.
Begin Your MyChart Video Visit
- Log in at your appointment time. If it’s your first video visit, log in at least 10 minutes early.
- On a smartphone or tablet: open the MyChart app and tap the "Appointments" icon
- On a computer: Log in at mychart.slhs.org and click your video visit on the home screen.
- For children under 14: Log in to your own MyChart account and select your child’s profile (top of screen on desktop, bottom on mobile).
- Ages 14 and 17: Teens may log in to their own MyChart account. Additional registration may be required due to consent laws.
- Complete eCheckIn - This is required and available up to 7 days before your visit.
- Start your visit. Once eCheck-In and hardware checks are complete, you can join your video visit up to 20 minutes early. You’ll be placed in a virtual waiting room until your provider joins.
