    Leah Fleming, MD specializes in clinical genetics and medical biochemical genetics. She focuses on caring for children and adults with a wide range of conditions, including chromosomal disorders such as Smith Magenis Syndrome and metabolic disorders like phenylketonuria, together with a team that includes two genetic counselors and a metabolic dietitian.

    Kimberly Matias, LCSW is a clinical social worker with extensive experience helping pediatric and adult patients and their families identify psychosocial needs and cope with their conditions and any impacts they may have on their lives. She has been a patient advocate in hospitals, rehabilitation clinics, and children's specialty centers.

    Kim served as an AmeriCorps volunteer with the National Civilian Corps during college, and as a PeaceCorps volunteer in Honduras before entering graduate school. She worked for the Children's Hospital of Richmond and was a children's counselor prior to joining the cystic fibrosis team.

    Kim earned her bachelor's degree in social work from San Francisco State University and her master's degree in social work from Virginia Commonwealth University.
