St. Luke's Clinic – Behavioral Health: Boise

At St. Luke's Clinic – Behavioral Health, we provide a full spectrum of psychiatric services to adults with varying diagnoses, including but not limited to: depression, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), psychosis, dual diagnosis, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), panic disorder, bipolar disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). 

Our experienced care team includes psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and mental health therapists who are trained to provide compassionate psychiatric and behavioral health care. You can count on us to support you with short-term, solution-focused treatment as well as sensitivity, knowledge, and understanding.

    Biography

    Landon Browning, MD is an experienced psychiatrist who has treated a wide range of psychiatric disorders. He is dedicated to empowering his patients to achieve better mental health through a holistic approach that integrates empathy and education, with a focus on the social determinants of mental health. 

    Born and raised in Boise and a Boise State graduate, Dr. Browning combines his local roots with his professional expertise to provide compassionate and comprehensive care to his community.

    Biography

    Nathan “Cody” Ellis, MA, LCPC, NCC is a licensed clinical professional counselor in the state of Idaho and holds a national board certification. He approaches therapy from a collaborative and patient-centered approach with an emphasis on the client’s therapy goals and their desired approach to reach them. Cody uses several different models and techniques, including, but not limited to cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), schema therapy, Adlerian therapy, and attachment-based theory.

    Cody earned his master’s degree from Boise State University and has worked in various therapy settings including inpatient, correctional, educational and outpatient clinics. He has experience in assessing and treating children, adolescents, adults, and families who are experiencing anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, relationship stressors, trauma, compulsive behaviors, and men’s health issues.

    Biography

    Jessica Harp, LCSW has experience providing therapy to people struggling with life changes, grief and loss, relationship issues, anxiety, health issues, trauma, and mood disorders. She is trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and trauma-informed yoga and mindfulness.

    Jessica earned her master’s degree and graduate certificate in trauma and bereavement from Arizona State University.

    Biography

    Jennifer Kopec, LCSW provides assessment and therapy for adults struggling with PTSD/c-PTSD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, relationship issues, grief and loss, and life stressors. She has experience in private practice, acute-psychiatric skilled nursing facilities and providing crisis intervention. 

    Jennifer focuses on an eclectic approach to treatment, utilizing strength-based and person-centered approach, cognitive/behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and specializes in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). 

    Jennifer earned both her bachelor’s and master's degrees in social work from Boise State University. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). In her free time, Jennifer enjoys outdoor activities and exploring nature.

    Biography

    Coby Tefft, LMFT offers compassionate therapy and interventions for families, relationships, and individuals. He emphasizes connection through listening and validation as patients progress through established goals. He assesses and treats a variety of issues including: mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, relationship problems, and grief and loss.

    Coby has extensive experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including community mental health, inpatient psychiatric care and private practice marriage and family therapy.

    Coby earned his master’s degree in marriage, child, and family counseling. He is originally from Idaho and enjoys outdoor activities with his family.

    Biography

    Michael F. Walton, MD is the system medical director for St. Luke's Behavioral Health service line. He is board certified in adult psychiatry and is a distinguished fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. Dr. Walton provides physician leadership and patient care in the Treasure Valley and acute psychiatric care in Twin Falls.
