High five to all of you who joined me at the St. Luke’s FitOne Expo and then again at the starting line Saturday morning!
I always look forward to seeing St. Luke’s team members, the great FitOne crew, old friends and so many neighbors and families celebrating health and being active.
This year, more than 10,000 registered for the 5K, 10K and half-marathon events. Most participants came from Idaho, but more than two-dozen states, including Florida and New York, were represented in the events.
All ages were represented as well. Our youngest participant was 3 weeks old and the oldest was 93 years old. It was uplifting and inspirational to see our community spend such a fun, high-spirited morning together, taking part in the creative and colorful tradition that is FitOne!
St. Luke’s FitOne is a family affair, and Team Pate has grown over the years. Here I am with my grandchildren and a friend at the starting line; the team will grow by one for next year’s events!
Thanks to everyone for turning out to support St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital. Your participation in St. Luke’s FitOne makes great care even more possible for our youngest patients. I’ll see everyone at the starting line again next year, and on the trails and Greenbelt until then!
