Dr. Pate Assesses the American Health Care Act

By Dr. David C. Pate, News and Community
March 28, 2017

Editor’s note - Dr. Pate’s analysis of features and components of the proposed American Health Care Act, intended to replace the Affordable Care Act, has been making the rounds in Washington, D.C. The grid of features, their likelihood and desirability, and analysis of their impacts that he first developed for St. Luke’s leaders’ reference has found a broad following here on the blog and far beyond, and Dr. Pate has continued to update developments as they have taken place.

His insight into developments on the national scene and their ramifications for St. Luke’s and our communities was featured March 19 on “Viewpoint,” KTVB’s popular Sunday morning issues show. Sit back and listen as St. Luke’s Health System President and Chief Executive Officer Dr. David Pate and show host Doug Petcash talk about the state of health care and recent developments in Washington.
