The St. Luke’s McCall Auxiliary Donates $84,500 to the Hospital

By Laura Crawford, News and Community
January 29, 2016

Patti Crandall and Judy Titus, past and current Thrift Shop directors, present an $84,500 donation from the Auxiliary to Dr. Caitlin Gustafson, obstetrical services medical director and Dr. Dave Burica, cardiopulmonary services medical director of St. Luke’s McCall.

The funds for this donation were raised through proceeds from the Auxiliary’s Thrift Shop, located in downtown McCall. The Auxiliary’s Thrift Shop has donated more than $1.1 to the hospital since it opened in 1998.

This year’s funds will help improve the care for new parents by remodeling the labor and delivery rooms, purchasing a new epidural pump, and warming cabinet for resuscitation. The remainder of the funds will help purchase new pulmonary (lung) function test equipment. Doctors use this test equipment to help diagnose conditions such as asthma, pulmonary fibrosis (scarring of the lung tissue), and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The equipment costs $50,000.
