Perinatal Group for New Mothers

Description

This eight-week, in-person group is designed to support new mothers’ mental health and well-being. The group provides a safe space for mothers to share their experiences and learn from each other, with a focus on symptom management, coping strategies and peer support. You will:

  • Create a supportive community
  • Connect with other mothers in a safe, nurturing environment
  • Learn the differences between “baby blues” and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders
  • Develop and refine coping skills to manage your unique symptoms.

We'll meet Thursdays from 1:30-3 p.m. in the Chestnut Room at St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center.

Registration

The group is open to mothers over the age of 18 who are currently pregnant or post-delivery, with babies up to 12 months old. Babies are welcome in the group.

Those interested in joining will need a referral from their provider and to meet with a clinician to complete an intake appointment prior to starting the group.

Cost depends on insurance. Materials are provided for free.

If you are interested in joining or have any questions, call us at (208) 814-9100.
