Katie van Lier, PA-C has worked in multiple areas of medicine throughout her career, and she loves urgent care because it gives her a chance to help her patients with immediate needs, relieve their pain, make them feel better, and help their families get back to being healthy. She enjoys being able to make a difference in the lives of her patients.
Katie is known for her up-beat personality and commitment to care and education for her patients. She strives to give respect and her time to every patient, and she values their choices in health care.
Katie earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Idaho and her master's degree in physician assistant studies from Lincoln Memorial University-DCOM, both with honors. She is a certified preceptor for the American Academy of Physician Assistants and has helped train the next generation of PAs.
Originally from Boise (and a St. Luke’s baby), she is glad to be back in her hometown after working and traveling on the east coast, Texas, and Colorado. When she is not in the clinic, she is with her husband on the tennis court, developing their own community tennis business to help grow Boise tennis for kids and adults. She also enjoys all things Boise, such as floating the river, ice cream potatoes, enjoying live music at the Grove, and Hyde Park.
