About Amy Stenhouse

Biography

Amy Stenhouse, MS, CGC, CCGC is a genetic counselor with a passion for maternal mental health and empowering women to make informed choices regarding reproductive options and genetic screening based on their family medical history or pregnancy history. 

Amy has been involved in providing genetics education for the Family Medicine Residency of Idaho as well as education on prenatal genetic screening and testing to local OB/GYNs, nurse practitioners and midwives. Amy is currently on the Augustana-Sanford Genetic Counseling Graduate Program Advisory Board. 

Amy earned her bachelor’s degree in molecular biology and genetics from the University of Guelph. She completed her graduate training at the Augustana-Sanford Genetic Counseling Graduate Program. Amy is board certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling as well as the Canadian Association of Genetic Counsellors.
