About Breanna M. Epps

Biography

Breanna Epps, LCSW is a mental health therapist working with children and preteens at Garfield Elementary School. She has experience working in inpatient psychiatric settings, school-based therapy, and outpatient work. She enjoys meeting individuals and families where they are and assisting them in reaching their goals.

Breanna specializes in teaching healthy ways to manage anxiety, depression, and general life stressors. She utilizes a strengths-based approach and uses the concepts of positive regard, mindfulness, and acceptance to create a strong therapeutic alliance with each individual. She focuses on a collaborative, holistic approach to treatment, using techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), play therapy, and motivational interviewing.

Breanna earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology at University of California and her master’s degree in social work at California State University. In her free time, she enjoys walking her dog along the greenbelt, snowboarding, and spending time with her family and friends.

Breanna primarily works as a school-based provider affiliated with our Boise office.
