Description

This class is designed to prepare you and your support person for labor, childbirth, and the early postpartum time period. 

We will cover: 

  • Your wellness 
  • The labor experience including the phases and stages of labor 
  • Relaxation techniques, including massage, music therapy, and visualization exercises 
  • Breathing techniques 
  • Videos of both vaginal and cesarean deliveries 
  • Positions for labor 
  • Pain medication/anesthesia options 
  • Preparation for cesarean birth 
  • Your care postpartum

Prerequisites

Registration is required and a full payment must be made at the time of registration. Please note that if there are less than 5 people enrolled in the class, the class may be cancelled. You will be notified before the class if this occurs. No refunds are given for this class, unless it is cancelled by us or a medical condition prevents you from attending class. Otherwise, you may transfer to another class within six months of the original class date.

Registration Instructions

Please dress comfortably and have your spouse, partner, or other support person who will be with you during your labor and delivery, as well as two bed pillows available. Please be ready to turn on your camera if available for all or portions of this interactive virtual class.
