Thousands gathered at The Village in Meridian to register for FitOne’s 5K/10K/Half marathon during National Running Day on June 1.
FitOne is set for Sept. 24, and the fun begins with a Healthy Living Expo on Sept. 22 and 23. FitOne’s mission is to build healthier communities through fun, active living, and the June 1 kickoff was loaded with tools and resources, including discounts for Albertsons, Shu’s Idaho Running Company and Axiom Fitness. In addition, a limited number of discounted registration fees were offered.
Treadmills and stationary bikes filled the main stage, and RC Willey donated $10 per mile (up to $5,000) to benefit St. Luke’s Children’s, FitOne’s title beneficiary.
