The expanded facility will include three floors with 76 rooms, a newborn intensive care unit, children’s services with outpatient specialties, additional heart services, intensive care unit, and more. Services will be available in the fall 2017.

Why are we expanding?

A larger facility is needed as Canyon County’s population is increasing and predicted to climb to 241,000 by 2024.

One in four patients at St. Luke’s Meridian are from Canyon County, and 23 percent of people needing hospitalization are admitted to either St. Luke’s Meridian or St. Luke’s Boise.

St. Luke’s Nampa opened its medical plaza in 2012 with a full-service, 24-hour emergency department, laboratory services, diagnostic and imaging services, medical office space, and outpatient services. Currently, patients who require hospital admission are transferred to surrounding hospitals. This expansion will allow patients to stay closer to home.
