MyChart Bedside

Stay Informed During Your Hospital Stay

MyChart Bedside keeps you connected with everything happening while you’re in the hospital. It's accessible through an app on your phone or mobile device that connects you or your family to your care team and gives access to your inpatient health records. It offers you:

  • Access to real-time information about your inpatient care. This includes planned treatments and procedures, vital signs, medications, test results, and diagnoses.
  • Visibility into who is on your treatment team.
  • Access to inpatient information after discharge through the mobile MyChart mobile app (this requires an active MyChart account). The following Bedside features are available through the MyChart mobile app:

    • Treatment team
    • Medications
    • Hospital health issues
    • Happening soon
    • Test results

What's the difference between MyChart and MyChart Bedside?

  • MyChart Bedside and MyChart work together. MyChart Bedside is used when you are in the hospital. It helps you collaborate in your care and connect to your care team.
  • When you are not in the hospital, use the MyChart app on your phone to see information shared in MyChart Bedside.

To access MyChart Bedside, sign up for MyChart. If you already have a MyChart account, you can access MyChart Bedside from the MyChart mobile app on your phone. You can grant family members or caregivers access to MyChart Bedside by setting up online proxy access for medical records of children, spouses, or dependents.

Who is MyChart Bedside available for?
MyChart Bedside is available only for admitted patients and/or their proxies and is only available while the patient is in the hospital.
Is there a fee to use MyChart Bedside?
MyChart Bedside is a free service offered to our inpatients.
How do I get access to MyChart Bedside?
Simply log into your personal MyChart account on your smartphone or tablet and your inpatient dashboard will appear.
Who can answer my questions about MyChart Bedside?
Please talk to the unit receptionist or Unit Coordinator if you have further questions.
When can I see my test results in MyChart Bedside?
Most results will be viewable the same day they are taken. There are also tests that may take days or weeks before we have results. Please talk to your nurse if you have questions or concerns.
If some of my health information on MyChart Bedside is wrong, what should I do?
Your health information comes straight from your electronic health record. You may ask your doctor to fix any incorrect information.
What will happen to my MyChart Bedside account information on the tablet once I leave the hospital?
Much of what you see in MyChart Bedside account will be viewable in MyChart.
Can I view a family member's health record in MyChart Bedside?
Yes, if the patient is the proxy and has current legal documentation on file. If a proxy is not in effect, then the patient may choose to share their chart with a family member and a HIPAA release is signed by the patient.
Is MyChart Bedside secure?
Access to information is controlled through a secure activation process, along with an optional user PIN.
