Two separate medical and two separate dental programs are administered through SelectHealth and Delta Dental of Idaho. One vision program is offered and administered by VSP. The managed healthcare plans are designed to meet the varying needs and budgets of employees with available features such as a prescription drug program, vision care, orthodontics, and preventive care.
To ensure our plan complies with plan eligibility rules and federal regulations, we require documentation of eligibility for enrolled dependents (spouse and children).
Paid time off (PTO) is to be used for vacation, holidays, and short-term illness or injury. One year full-time accrual is 184 hours (23 days). Accrual for part-time employees is pro-rated based on actual hours worked. Accrual increases after four and nine years of employment. Maximum accrual is 240 hours.
Hours accrue at the rate of 64 per year for full-time employees in this income protection program, which works as a bridge between PTO and long-term disability insurance. Maximum accrual is 520 hours.
Provides 60% of base earnings after a 90-day waiting period. Disability may come from non-work related illness or injury.
Below is a brief description of the retirement plans offered upon employment with St. Luke's Health System. This information, if in error, will be governed by the terms of the Plan Documents.
Performance Incentive Plan:
Participation in the Performance Incentive Plan is automatic once you have met the eligibility requirements. Funded 100% by St. Luke's Health System, the Plan award is discretionary and is based on the Health System meeting key annual goals.
SLHS Matched 403(b) and 401(a) Matching Plans:
The Plan provider for our 403(b) and 401(a) is Fidelity Investments. St. Luke's matches up to a maximum 3% of gross salary (up to the IRS maximum). Employees are eligible immediately upon hire.
Early childhood development programs are available in some locations. Open 6 a.m.-6 p.m., Monday-Friday.
All newly hired St. Luke's employees automatically receive a free Air St. Luke's membership. Air St. Luke's is our critical care transport program that provides safe and rapid transport for critically ill and injured patients. Membership covers medically-necessary transport provided by our helicopter, airplane, and specialty teams vehicles. There are no out-of-pocket expenses. In the event you require transport, the payment we receive from your insurance company will be considered payment in full.
During St. Luke's benefits enrollment period, which occurs in March, employees may elect to add their family to their Air St. Luke's membership for an additional $45 per year. Family membership includes spouse and any unmarried dependents you claim on your income tax return.
Life insurance benefits are paid at 100% of annual basic salary with double indemnity for accidental death.
Supplemental benefits may be applied for at the employee's own cost for coverage up to $300,000 for self and $100,000 for spouse. Additional $5,000 or $10,000 policies are available for dependent coverage.
Pre-tax earnings may be set aside for eligible out-of-pocket healthcare and dependent care expenses.
A health savings account may be used in conjunction with qualified high deductible Health Savings Plan. Pre-tax earnings may be set aside for eligible out-of-pocket medical expenses. The balance rolls over from year to year.
For employees with other insurance options available, our pay in lieu of benefits program provides a higher hourly wage (9-15%, depending on employment status) in exchange for forfeiture of certain benefits.
We offer tuition assistance for certain work-related degree programs, as well as limited scholarships for hard-to-recruit positions.
The certification prepayment plan allows employees to achieve recognizable credentials beyond the requirements of their position with no upfront cost.
This program provides confidential, short-term, professional counseling services for employees and family members.
This program provides no-cost health assessments, counseling, and education opportunities for employees, as well as exercise classes, massage, and other wellness programs for a nominal fee. By meeting certain health targets, employees can earn insurance premium credits.
We value family, which is why we offer reimbursement of up to $1,500 for expenses incurred when adopting a child.
