Dylan

Dylan

Dylan is like a lot of three year olds. He just started preschool. He loves dogs, the Cat in the Hat and Finding Dory. “He’s smart, funny and generous,” says his mom, Lindsey. “He’s just a good kid.”

Dylan was born with serious problems that affected his colon and intestines. Some of the treatment had the side effect of damage to his liver. He’s struggled with eating and digestion, and requires ongoing care from pediatric experts in a wide range of specialties at St. Luke’s Children’s, including gastroenterology, surgery, ophthalmology, sleep medicine, ear, nose and throat, dietitians and home health.

He’s had many surgeries and spent weeks at a time in the hospital, but he’s growing and thriving. “He can eat pretty much anything now,” his mom says. “It’s amazing in light of how much of the disease he has. You’d never know anything was wrong.”
