Support and Counseling for Cancer Patients

A cancer diagnosis and treatment journey brings stress to both you and your family. Our specially trained oncology social workers provide counseling and support to help reduce stress for you, your family and your loved ones throughout your cancer experience. 

Our team will help you:

  • Understand your diagnosis and treatments
  • Cope with the many emotions you may be experiencing, such as sadness, anger, worry, and fear
  • Consider decisions about treatment options as you think about your work, family, and other things in your life
  • Talk with your doctor and other caregivers
  • Talk with your family, friends, or co-workers
  • Understand how cancer affects sex, intimacy, fertility, and feeling good about your body
  • Learn skills that can help with sleep problems, worry and sadness
  • Apply for programs that offer financial assistance
  • Connect with community resources such as transportation to and from medical care, temporary housing during treatment, and help at home
  • Plan for your care with the use of advance directives
  • Learn about living life as a cancer survivor
