NephrologyBiography
Mary Dittrich, MD, FASN is the chief medical officer and executive vice president of U.S. Renal Care as well as co-founder and partner of Boise Kidney and Hypertension Institute. She currently serves on the steering committee for the Kidney Care Quality Alliance, an independent organization focused on developing and measuring quality metrics for use in dialysis care.
Dr. Dittrich has served as chief medical officer for Liberty Dialysis, an organization which partnered with nephrologists to own and operate dialysis facilities. She has co‐founded numerous dialysis clinics in the states of Idaho and Alaska, where she served as a medical director. She has also served as the senior medical director of Remedy Partners, now Signify Health, the largest awardee convener under Medicare’s bundled payment program.
Dr. Dittrich earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from Creighton University, where she received the Spirit of Creighton Award, the highest student award presented by the University. Upon earning her medical degree, she received the Gold Headed Cane award given for outstanding potential as a physician.

Amanda Hall, DO is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology. She is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Society of Nephrology, and American Society of Transplantation. Her areas of research experience and publication include investigating cardiovascular risk assessment and management in pre-renal transplant patients. She currently is medical director for Home Therapies at Fresenius Kidney Care.
Dr. Hall earned her bachelor's degree from Western Washington University in cellular and molecular biology.

Nicholas Hunt, MD is involved in all aspects of nephrology care, and has special interest in difficult to control hypertension, fluid and electrolyte disorders, glomerulonephritis, kidney transplantation, and the management of advanced chronic kidney disease with or without dialysis.
Dr. Hunt appreciates the long-term connection he develops with his patients through managing their illness. He completed his fellowship in renal disease and hypertension at the University of Colorado in Denver.

Christopher Keller, MD is board certified in both nephrology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and in hypertension by the American Society of Hypertension. He believes in keeping up with the latest advances and is enthusiastic about taking great care of patients. As a result, he and his colleagues share a passion for practicing high-quality, patient-oriented medicine.
Dr. Keller currently serves as medical director for Nephrology Services at St. Luke's. Prior to his medical education, Dr. Keller earned his bachelor's degree in chemistry from Duke University, graduating summa cum laude.

Jerry Meng, MD is board certified in nephrology and internal medicine, and is an AHSCP Certified Hypertension Specialist. He is passionate about keeping up with the latest advances in order to practice high-quality, individualized, patient-oriented medicine.
Dr. Meng is active in the local nephrology service community. He is the current medical director of the Hypertension Center of Excellence at St. Luke's, and has had prior assignments as medical director of Liberty Dialysis area units and departmental chairmanships on Medical Executive Committees at St. Luke's and Vibra Hospital of Boise.
An Idaho transplant since the late 2000s, Dr. Meng enjoys spending time with his family, camping, playing board games, and indoor rowing.

Thomas Pintar, MD is involved in all aspects of nephrology care, and has special interest in difficult-to-control hypertension, fluid and electrolyte diseases, complex cases of glomerulonephritis, kidney transplantation, and the management of advanced chronic kidney disease, with or without dialysis.
Dr. Pintar enjoys developing personal and professional long-term relationships with patients, and works with you to manage your illness. He has particular interest in helping patients manage dialysis treatment at home; he believes this offers the best opportunity for successful outcomes and improved quality of life. Dr. Pintar also believes that the key to kidney disease care resides in patient and family education, so you're able to make informed decisions regarding care options.
Dr. Pintar received his medical degree from University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he also completed his residency training and served as chief medical resident.

Michael Smith, NP-C is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. He has worked in medical and surgical intensive care units and infectious disease at St. Luke’s before moving to nephrology. Michael is passionate about developing trusting relationships with his patients. He enjoys teaching them about their disease process and working with them to improve their health.
Michael earned bachelor’s degrees in biology and nursing as well as a master’s degree in family nurse practitioner from Idaho State University. Originally from Idaho, he enjoys time with his family and exploring the outdoors.

Brian Snow, DO is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology, and is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and American Society of Nephrology.
Dr. Snow was a teaching fellow in the Department of Medicine at The Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences, where he lectured extensively. His areas of publication focused on nephrology and hypertension issues in burn and combat casualty patients.
Prior to his medical education, Dr. Snow earned a bachelor's degree in microbiology from Weber State University, graduating cum laude. He joined the Air Force, where he reached the rank of major and was the Chief of Nephrology at Wright Patterson Medical Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.
In his free time, Dr. Snow enjoys swimming, biking, running, and calisthenics. His other favorite activities include playing games, astronomy, and most importantly spending time with his family.
