    Biography

    Bethany Coleman, APRN, WHNP-C is a board certified women’s health nurse practitioner specializing in high-risk pregnancy care. She has special interests in diabetes, hypertensive disorders, and mental health conditions during pregnancy and the postpartum period. She is committed to empowering her patients through education and shared decision-making throughout the course of their pregnancy care.

    Bethany was raised in the Black Hills area of South Dakota. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Portland and her master’s degree from the University of Cincinnati. She is a member of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health and the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, hiking, and traveling internationally with her husband.

    Biography

    Thomas Lee, MD, MBA provides medical care for a broad range of conditions encountered in pregnancy, such as multifetal pregnancies, diabetes, prior preterm delivery, hypertension, and preeclampsia. He also has special interests in fetal ultrasound and health care management and technology. He enjoys engaging with patients and their families to provide them with an understanding of the most up-to-date information available regarding their pregnancy, so that they may make the best decisions for them and their families. 

    Prior to his medical education, Dr. Lee earned his bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College. He also has an MBA in healthcare management from Marylhurst University. 

    Dr. Lee has served on a national level as a member of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine Board of Directors, as the chairperson of the SMFM Practice Management Division, and as a member of the SMFM Clinical Informatics Committee.

He has special interest and expertise in recurrent pregnancy loss, antiphospholipid syndrome, thrombophilias, and electronic fetal monitoring.

    Dr. Lee received the Society for Gynecologic Investigation President Presenter's Award for research.

    Biography

    Stacy Seyb, MD provides medical care for a broad range of conditions encountered in pregnancy, such as twins, triplets, or more; diabetes; premature labor; and other problems occurring in pregnancy, including previous adverse outcomes. He has also participated in research regarding preterm birth and induction of labor. 

    As part of St. Luke's SUPPORT program for pregnant women, Dr. Seyb provides referrals and consultation for issues with substance abuse, prescription medications, chronic pain, and psychiatric concerns. He has a special interest in public health issues, such as preterm birth and maternal mortality, and is passionate about empowering patients to make informed choices.

    Amy Stenhouse, CGC

    Prenatal Genetics

    Biography

    Amy Stenhouse, MS, CGC, CCGC has a special interest in the implementation of advanced genetic screening and testing options in the preconception and prenatal setting. She is passionate about reproductive freedoms and access to these options. In addition to her clinical role, Amy supervises genetic counseling graduate students, provides education to local OB providers and medical residents, and serves on the Augustana-Sanford Genetic Counseling Graduate Program Advisory Board.  

    Amy earned her master's degree in genetic counseling from the Augustana-Sanford Genetic Counseling program. She worked for St. Luke's before leaving to be a genetic counselor in the Medical Genetics Clinic and Hereditary Cancer Clinic at the University of Alberta Hospital. Amy is excited to be back at St. Luke's and serving the community of Boise and the surrounding areas. Away from work, she enjoys gardening, baking, and spending time outdoors where she rides mountain bikes, hikes, runs, and taking her dog with her on the water.

  • Allison Szczepanski, CGC

    Prenatal Genetics

    Biography

    Allison Szczepanski, MS, CGC provides genetic counseling for individuals and families prior to conception, at any point during pregnancy, and after the conclusion of pregnancy regarding reproductive risk for genetic conditions and birth differences. She is board certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling and licensed by the States of Idaho and Oregon. 

    Allison is dedicated to ensuring every patient full comprehends their pregnancy’s diagnosis or risk, even in the context of complex medical situations. She enjoys getting to know her patients and learning more about their personal goals and wishes for their families. She is committed to ensuring patients have access to any and all treatment and management options they may need during their pregnancies. 

    As a way to facilitate patient access to genetic information in the Treasure Valley and beyond, Allison spends time educating other local health care professionals about guidelines pertaining to genetic testing in individuals of reproductive age as well as standard of care for genetic screening in pregnancies. Allison is especially passionate about preconception genetic counseling and providing information to patients prior to pregnancy. 

    Prior to attending the University of South Carolina’s School of Medicine Genetic Counseling Program, Allison earned her bachelor’s degree in microbiology and immunology with minors in genetics and psychology from Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana. 

    Away from work, Allison enjoys yoga, mountain biking, road cycling, traveling, and spending time with her family in the outdoors.
