Head and Neck Cancer

What are head and neck cancers?
Head and neck cancers occur in the paranasal sinuses, nasal cavity, oral cavity, tongue, salivary glands, larynx, or pharynx (including the nasopharynx, oropharynx, and hypopharynx).

Cancers of the brain, the eye, the esophagus, and the thyroid gland, as well as those of the scalp, skin, muscles, and bones of the head and neck, are not usually classified as head and neck cancers.

Head and Neck Cancer Care at St. Luke’s MSTI
We treat head and neck cancers with chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, or a combination of these treatment options. Our multidisciplinary team will work with you and your primary care provider to create a personalized care plan that will treat your cancer, ease your symptoms and side effects, and strengthen you physically, mentally, and emotionally.

If you’re a candidate for surgery, our oncologists work closely with ear, nose, and throat (ENT) surgeons to ensure coordinated care.
