Today we’re a network of five cancer centers dedicated to state-of-the-art treatment close to home; patient-centered care and support; cutting-edge research; and community prevention, education, and early detection initiatives. 

Our cancer center in Twin Falls brings you medical and radiation oncology specialists, access to the best surgeons in the region, onsite pharmacy and lab, genetic counseling for hereditary cancers (using telehealth technology), and a wide range of support services to care for your overall well-being. We’ll be with you and your family every step of the way during your cancer journey, treating cancer, easing symptoms and side effects, and strengthening you physically, mentally, and emotionally.

    Biography

    Eric Allan, MD is a radiation oncologist with special interest in prostate cancer, breast cancer, and cancers of the head and neck. 

    During medical school, Dr. Allan did a year of lab research investigating radiation resistance mechanisms in glioblastoma cells. In his residency he researched, presented, and published on prevention and treatment of mouth sores during radiation therapy of the head and neck. 

    Dr. Allan earned his bachelor's degree in physics and astronomy at Brigham Young University. His personal interests include mathematics and physics, as well as outdoor activities like camping and fishing.

    Parker Dee, PA-C specializes in oncology and hematology. He earned his bachelor's degree in exercise science from Brigham Young University and later an MPAS from Rocky Mountain College.

    Biography

    Alexis Gough specializes in medical oncology and hematology. She has an extensive background in surgery and worked in the operating room for many years as a surgical technologist and circulating nurse.

    Alexis is nationally certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Western Governors University and her master’s degree in nursing from South University.

    Biography

    Chad Hurd, PA-C specializes in oncology and working with cancer patients. He began his education at the College of Southern Idaho, where he obtained an associate's degree in radiologic technology.  He then obtained a bachelor's degree in radiation therapy at Weber State University. Next, Chad gained clinical experience as a radiologic technologist at the University of Utah Hospital/Huntsman Cancer Hospital and Intermountain Healthcare, as well as Minidoka Memorial Hospital. He then completed his master's degree in physician assistant studies at James Madison University.  

    Prior to joining St. Luke's Cancer Institute, Chad worked with other patient care teams in Twin Falls, including St. Luke's Clinic - Orthopedics, Spine and Surgery, St. Luke's Quick Care, and the Physicians Immediate Care Center.  

    Originally from Idaho, Chad and his wife have five children. Together, the family enjoys many outdoor activities, including hiking, tennis and mountain biking.

    Biography

    Richard Hymas, MD, PhD is a radiation oncologist who treats all disease sites using external beam radiotherapy, SRS, SBRT, and brachytherapy.

    Dr. Hymas enjoys contributing to a multidisciplinary team, providing state-of-the-art radiation therapy to cancer patients in southern Idaho. He earned his PhD in pharmaceutics and pharmaceutical chemistry from the University of Utah.

    Phatama Padavanija, MD treats patients with all types of cancer and blood disorders, with a special interest in treating patients with breast cancer, ovarian cancer, lymphomas, and colorectal cancer. Dr. Padavanija enjoys participating as an investigator in clinical research. Her philosophy of patient care is to treat people with care, compassion, and respect. She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

    Daniel Preucil, MD is board certified in family medicine and hospice and palliative medicine. He is the director of the Magic Valley Palliative Care Program. He is currently accepting new patients for palliative care consultations at St. Luke's Cancer Institute and St. Luke's Clinic – Palliative Medicine in Twin Falls.

    Dr. Preucil earned bachelor's degrees in sociology and chemistry from Hamilton College. In his free time he enjoys the trails, rocks, and mountains of Idaho with his family.

    Biography

    Alisa Rawson, MS, RDN, CSO, LD is a board certified specialist in oncology nutrition. She is passionate about supporting cancer patients through all stages of treatment and recovery, and she values the role of nutrition in improving health and quality of life.

    Alisa earned her bachelor's degree in molecular biology and Spanish with a minor in nutrition from the University of Wyoming. She earned her master's degree in food and nutrition from Purdue University, and completed her dietetic internship at the University of Oklahoma.

St. Luke's holds a Commission on Cancer (CoC) cancer program accreditation. Accreditation by the CoC, a quality program of the American College of Surgeons, demonstrates a cancer program's commitment to providing high-quality, multidisciplinary, patient-centered cancer care. Thirty-four CoC-developed standards set the framework for a cancer program to provide the full scope of cancer care services required to diagnose, treat, rehabilitate, and support all cancer patients.
