    Stacy Cooper, MPA-C has special interests in gynecology, infertility, and preventive health, and is a first assist in surgery. She focuses on the whole patient and promotes health and wellness to patients of all ages. She earned her bachelor's degree in exercise physiology from the University of Wyoming and her master's degree as a physician assistant from Rocky Mountain College.

  • Biography

    Sarah Farnetti, PA-C is a certified physician assistant who has special interests in gynecology, contraception, and preventive health. She is committed to empowering women through education and shared decision making. Sarah is passionate about women’s health and believes in developing a strong relationship with her patients to provide compassionate and individualized care.

    Sarah earned her bachelor's degree in biology from University of Idaho and her master's degree as a physician assistant from University of Washington. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Association of Physician Assistants in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She was born and raised in Boise and is excited to be providing care to women in the Treasure Valley.

    Biography

    Bryan F. Hodges, MD provides obstetrics and gynecology services. He is currently accepting new obstetric patients without a referral and gynecology patients by provider and patient referral. He delivers babies at St. Luke's Boise.

    Dr. Hodges was raised in Boise, Idaho and earned his bachelor's degree in biology at Boise State University. Dr. Hodges and his wife, Dr. Necole Javernick-Hodges, have four children. He enjoys reading books and watching movies with his family, as well as many outdoor activities such as snow skiing, water skiing, swimming, and biking.

    Alaina McCoy, PA-C is a nationally certified physician assistant with special interests in gynecology, adolescent and young women's health, and the treatment of basic neurological conditions. She believes that treatment plans are best made collaboratively between a patient and her provider, and should include education and discussion. 

    Alaina earned her bachelor's degree in psychology and health science studies from Boise State University, and a master's in physician assistant studies from Western University of Health Sciences. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Association of Physician Assistants in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the Association of Neurosurgical Physician Assistants.

    Biography

    Matthew D. Renner, MD specializes in both normal and high-risk obstetrics, as well as laparoscopic and vaginal surgery. Before moving to Idaho he spent time working as an OB/GYN in New Zealand. He delivers babies at St. Luke's Boise.

    When away from work, Dr. Renner enjoys spending time with his family and two dogs.

    Biography

    Kerri Tucker, NP is a nationally certified nurse practitioner with a focus on gynecology. Her special interests include preventive care, mental wellness, and building long-lasting relationships with her patients. She is trained in performing colposcopies and in managing abnormal pap smears. Kerri is passionate about women's health from adolescence through menopause.

    Prior to joining St. Luke's, Kerri served in the Air Force as a labor and delivery nurse and has volunteered on a medical mission to the Dominican Republic. She works to inform and empower women in a relaxing, comfortable environment that encourages them to ask questions. Her dedication has earned her St. Luke's Nursing Excellence Award in advance practice nursing.

    Kerri grew up on a farm where she learned integrity, humor, honesty, and small-town values. She earned her bachelor's degree from Oregon Health Sciences University and her master's degree as a perinatal nurse practitioner from Regis University in Denver. She also earned a certificate as a women's health nurse practitioner from Drexel University.

    Biography

    Timothy A. West, MD provides both obstetrics and gynecology services. He is currently accepting new obstetric patients without a referral and gynecology patients by provider or patient referral. He delivers babies at St. Luke's Boise.

    In addition to his medical practice, Dr. West serves in an administrative role as the site medical manager for St. Luke’s Clinic – The Woman’s Clinic. He is the past peer review committee chair and the current chair of the department of OB/GYN at St. Luke’s Boise Medical Center.
     
    Dr. West earned his bachelor's degree in microbiology at Northern Arizona University. He is grateful for the opportunity to participate in ongoing medical mission projects, most recently in Mexico.

    Dr. West and his wife have four children.

Pregnant women with COVID-19 can have severe illness and severe outcomes, including ICU admission, mechanical ventilation, and death.


That's why St. Luke’s OB/GYN providers recommend the COVID-19 vaccine for people who are pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to get pregnant. More than 139,000 pregnant women have enrolled in the V-Safe Pregnancy Registry. Data shows there is no risk of miscarriage associated with the vaccines.


COVID-19 vaccines do not cause infection; they do prevent severe illness from COVID-19, which is dangerous for a pregnant woman and her fetus. Maternal infection with the virus is associated with an increased risk of preterm delivery and stillbirth. Vaccinated mothers who are breastfeeding transmit antibodies that may help protect their newborns.
