Benefits Summary

St. Luke’s wouldn’t be the organization it is today without the dedication and commitment of our incredible staff. To help you meet your personal and professional goals, safeguard your health, and secure your future, we offer a competitive compensation program with outstanding benefits.

Insurance Benefits

  • Medical, dental and vision insurance: Our managed medical, dental, and vision health care plans are designed to meet the varying needs and budgets of employees with features such as a prescription drug program, orthodontics, and preventive care. To ensure our plan complies with plan eligibility rules and federal regulations, we require documentation of eligibility for enrolled dependents (spouse and children).
  • Life insurance: benefits are paid at 100% of annual basic salary with double indemnity for accidental death.
  • Supplemental life insurance: may be applied for at the employee's own cost for coverage up to $500,000 for self and $100,000 for spouse. Additional $5,000 or $10,000 policies are available for dependent coverage.

Leave Benefits

  • Paid time off (PTO): to be used for vacation, holidays, and short-term illness or injury. One year full-time accrual is 184 hours (23 days). Accrual for part-time employees is pro-rated based on actual hours worked. Accrual increases after four and nine years of employment. Maximum accrual is 320 hours.
  • Extended sick leave: Hours accrue at the rate of 64 per year for full-time employees in this income protection program, which works as a bridge between PTO and long-term disability insurance. Maximum accrual is 520 hours.
  • Long-term disability: provides 60% of base earnings after a 90-day waiting period. Disability may come from non-work related illness or injury.

Compensation

  • Retirement plans:
    • Performance incentive plan: Funded 100% by St. Luke's, the plan award is discretionary and is based on the Health System meeting key annual goals.
    • Matched 403(b) and 401(a) plans: St. Luke's matches up to a maximum 3% of gross salary (up to the IRS maximum). Employees are eligible immediately upon hire and contributions are 100% vested immediately. Voluntary payroll deductions, self-directed investments, and pretax and Roth options are available.
  • Premium pay/differentials: incentive pay is available when you work on-call, overtime, or night/weekend shifts.
  • Years-of-experience increases: as your years of experience grow, so will your compensation.
  • Pay in lieu of benefits: employees who have non-St. Luke's health insurance for themselves and their eligible dependents may elect to forfeit certain benefits in exchange for an increase in their base hourly wage (9-15% depending on employment status).
  • Pay differentials: apply to nights/weekends and certain job types.

Additional Financial Benefits

  • Flexible spending accounts: pre-tax earnings may be set aside for eligible out-of-pocket healthcare and dependent care expenses.
  • Health savings account: may be used in conjunction with qualified high deductible Health Savings Plan. Pre-tax earnings may be set aside for eligible out-of-pocket medical expenses. The balance rolls over from year to year. We offer an employer match of up to $1,000 depending on your medical coverage option.
