FollowMyHealth Frequently Asked Questions

Transition to myChart Electronic Health Record

Click each question below for its answer:

Why did the updating of FollowMyHealth® stop?

St. Luke’s moved to a common electronic health record (EHR) system throughout all St. Luke’s clinics and hospitals. MyChart took the place of FollowMyHealth, used by St. Luke’s Mountain States Tumor Institute (MSTI) patients.

Can I still get info from the FollowMyHealth portal after I activate myChart?

Yes. While no new information will be added after October 1, 2016, your health history in FollowMyHealth will still be accessible until at least the end of 2017.

Does myChart have the same functionality as FollowMyHealth?

MyChart has much of the same functionality as FollowMyHealth, plus many more features. Soon, you’ll also be able to view imaging results on myChart.

Will previous records be visible in myChart?

Once your health information has been verified for accuracy, the following information will be transferred over to myChart:

  • Allergies
  • Immunizations
  • Current health issues
  • Medications
  • Upcoming appointments

You’ll be able to add notes in your new myChart portal and keep track of any additional information you would like transferred over from your old portal.

Unfortunately, we’re not able to migrate all information from your previous portal into myChart.

What if I already have a myChart account?

Some patients have more than one portal account. For example, a patient receiving care at St. Luke’s MSTI and at a Treasure Valley clinic may have both a FollowMyHealth and a myChart account.

If you already have a myChart account, you won’t need to sign up again. All new medical information will be visible in your myChart account automatically on October 1, 2016.

Can I put my own documentation in myChart? What about documentation that I put in the old system?

Yes, you can put your own documentation in myChart. Documentation that you put into your old patient portal will not automatically move to myChart.

How do I sign up for myChart?

Talk to your clinic staff and use the activation code you receive upon check-out at any visit after October 1, 2016.

Who do I contact if I have questions?
I have proxy access to my daughter’s electronic health record. Will I continue to have proxy access?

The forms you signed for proxy access are still valid. However, proxy access does not automatically transfer to your new myChart account. We can easily reset your proxy access after October 1, 2016. Ask us at your next clinic visit or call (208) 381-9000.

How do I access my account from my mobile device?

There are three ways to get the FollowMyHealth app installed on your mobile device.

From the main log in page of the FollowMyHealth home page, click on the Available on the App Store icon or Get it on Google play icon.

  1. This will open up a page that allows you to install the free FollowMyHealth app.
  2. After you’ve logged into your FollowMyHealth home page, there is a hyperlink in the top right corner. Click Add Healthcare Apps.
  3. You can also install the free FollowMyHealth app from the iTunes App Store or Google Play marketplace store, by searching for “FollowMyHealth” to find the app.

Once you have the FollowMyHealth app installed on your mobile device, you can choose to receive certain notifications via text messaging on your mobile phone. Text messages do not contain protected health information.
