Pediatric Gastroenterology

Children with digestive system conditions receive advanced care from the pediatric gastroenterology specialists at St. Luke’s Children’s. We support your child’s health with expertise in conditions such as Crohn's, ulcerative colitis, celiac disease, eosinophilic esophagitis, liver disease, diseases of the pancreas, failure to thrive, irritable bowel syndrome, refractory gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), refractory constipation, and nutritional and feeding issues.
  
We also perform procedures such as endoscopy, colonoscopy, endoscopic feeding tube (PEG tube) placement and management, and foreign body removal.

    Biography

    Leah Botimer, CPNP is a board certified pediatric nurse practitioner, and has experience as a nurse in primary care, hematology and oncology, pediatric ICU, and the emergency department.

    Leah earned her bachelor’s degree from Walla Walla University and her master’s degree as a nurse practitioner from Loma Linda University. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family.

    Erin Lane, MD is passionate about pediatric nutrition and caring for children of all ages with gastrointestinal disorders.

    Prior to her medical education, Dr. Lane earned her bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and theology from Boston College. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her family and enjoy the outdoor adventures Idaho has to offer.

    Henry Thompson, MD specializes in pediatric gastroenterology and serves as the medical director of the Cystic Fibrosis Center of Idaho.

    Prior to his medical education, Dr. Thompson earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Lewis and Clark College. In his free time, he enjoys biking and all the outdoor activities Idaho has to offer.
