    Biography

    Devin Bowman, PA-C worked in family medicine and urgent care in Baker City, Oregon before joining the St. Luke’s Occupational Health team in Magic Valley. He has received and maintained current certification through the National Commission on Certification for Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

    Devin earned his master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Des Moines University and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Idaho Academy of Physician Assistants.

    Biography

    Paige Cline, PA-C graduated from University of Oklahoma’s physician assistant program, and prior to joining St. Luke’s worked in emergency medicine, urgent care, and family practice. Paige was also in the Peace Corps, stationed in Belize. She is a member of the American Association of Physician Assistants and the Idaho Academy of Physician Assistants. Paige is also a guest lecturer and proctor for the physician assistant program at Idaho State University.

    Biography

    Todd Hastings, DO, MPH is board certified in occupational and environmental medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine. He specializes in workplace injuries, return-to-work and pre-employment evaluations, OSHA mandated surveillance exams, DOT medical certifications, and disability evaluations and impairment ratings.

    Dr. Hastings earned his bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University and served eight years in the United States Navy after graduating medical school.

    Biography

    Cody Heiner, MD, MPH is the site medical director of St. Luke's Occupational Health and is board certified in occupational and environmental medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine. Dr. Heiner is also a certified medical review officer and provides comprehensive health-related services for employers and employees, including work injury medical care, drug and alcohol testing, employee physicals, impairment ratings, and immunizations.

    In addition to his medical education, Dr. Heiner earned his masters' degree in public health from the University of Iowa College of Public Health.

    Biography

    Brian Johns, MD, MPH is the medical director of St. Luke’s Occupational Health. He is board certified in occupational and environmental medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine and is a fellow in the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. He is an experienced certified independent medical examiner and is also available to see patients for work injuries, pre-placement, DOT, respirator, Hazmat, and other examinations; disability assessments; impairment ratings; and independent medical evaluations.

    Biography

    Dave Landis, PA-C brings over 20 years of experience to St. Luke’s Occupational Health.  Before coming to St. Luke’s Occupational Health in 2013 he practiced in adult medicine, urgent care and dermatology.  Dave graduated from the University of Washington’s physician assistant program in 1995 and served in the Idaho National Guard for almost 10 years.

    Brent Norris, PA-C is primarily focused on urgent care and emergency medicine. Prior to joining St. Luke’s Brent served as a tenured associate professor at Pacific University where he taught PA studies. 

    Brent earned his master's degree in physician assistant studies from Idaho State University.

    Hala Rafla, PA-C joined St. Luke’s Occupational Health in 2011.  Prior to joining St. Luke’s she worked for the Department of Health and Welfare focusing on immunizations.  She studied medicine and surgery overseas where she worked in women’s health and urgent care. Hala holds a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Idaho State University as well as a master in health sciences from Boise State University.

    Biography

    Brent Shepherd, MD, MS, MOH, MRO specializes in both workers’ compensation and employment services, including treatment of work-related injuries and illnesses, causation, impairment ratings, OSHA mandated physicals, pre-placement physicals and is FMCSA certified for DOT physicals. Dr. Shepherd is also fluent in Spanish, and is a certified medical review officer for drug and alcohol testing. 

    In his free time, Dr. Shepherd enjoys spending time with his family and enjoying all that Idaho outdoors has to offer.

    Biography

    Brian Vandendries, NP provides quality occupational health care for the on-site wellness center of a large Treasure Valley employer with a focus on better health, better care, and lower costs.

    Brian arrived in Idaho years ago to join St. Luke’s and pursue a bachelor's degree in nursing. After obtaining a master's degree in nursing from Gonzaga University, he joined St. Luke’s Occupational Health as a nurse practitioner. Later, he became the administrative leader for the department, continuing in patient care and creating a comprehensive occupational department for St. Luke’s.
