A Gift Becomes a Garden

At the new St. Luke’s Cancer Institute in Nampa, “Becky’s Garden” will be a place for patients, families and staff to enjoy beauty, peace and comfort. The garden was a gift from Becky and Art Hastings, in gratitude for the care Becky received as a patient.

“When facing the daunting demon of cancer, that kind of caring means everything!” Becky said before she passed.

We are extremely grateful to Becky and Art, who chose to make a $90,000 irrevocable bequest pledge (fulfilled through their estate) to St. Luke’s Cancer Institute in Nampa. Their gift will also support the chemotherapy infusion center and radiation therapy vault.

Because Every Moment Is Precious

For Jim and Diane Kile, cancer is personal. Both have faced cancer, a battle that continues to this day. For the Nampa residents and longtime supporters of St. Luke’s, the desire is strong to leave the world a better place for having lived in it.

“We believe each and every person should support St. Luke’s in any way possible. With the excellent care for all patients, every moment is precious for seeking better venues of treatment, which St. Luke’s continues to achieve.”

We are extremely grateful to Jim and Diane, who made a multi-year pledge of cash to support integrative medicine and pharmacy services at the new St. Luke’s Cancer Institute in Nampa.
