About DePrise L. Kappel

Biography

DePrise Kappel, LCPC is a mental health therapist for St. Luke’s Children’s Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Program. She has experience working with adolescents and adults with co-occurring disorders to treat a range of diagnoses, including post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety, substance use, psychotic, and mood disorders. She utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and has been trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). She believes in using a strength-based holistic approach for wellness in collaboration with patients and their families.

DePrise earned her bachelor’s degree in health sciences with a minor in psychology, and her master’s in counseling both from Boise State University. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time on the greenbelt with her family and their dog.
