Lauren Miller, MD, MPH provides care for all aspects of perinatal medicine, and has a special passion in optimizing women’s health prior to conception. the care of pregnancies after bariatric surgery, and managing substance use disorders during pregnancy. She also enjoys all aspects of prenatal ultrasound imaging, with a particular interest in the diagnosis of management of congenital cardiac malformations and complicated multiple gestations.
Dr. Miller has expertise in performing both transvaginal and transabdominal chorionic villus sampling (CVS) for early genetic diagnosis. She also has expertise in performing amniocentesis and percutaneous fetal blood sampling (PUBS).
Dr. Miller serves as the co-chair of the Perinatal Safety Collaborative and is the population health area director of obstetrics for the central region. She is an active member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is also a member of the Idaho Coalition for Safe Reproductive Health Care.
Prior to her medical education, Dr. Miller earned her bachelor's degree in biology with a minor in health care-social issues from the University of California, San Diego. She spent several years working in pharmaceutical development before pursuing a career in medicine. At Tufts University School of Medicine, she completed both her MD and a master’s degree in public health.
