About Michael C. Mallea

Biography

Michael Mallea, MD has practiced nephrology in the Treasure Valley since 1996 and is currently serving on Boise State University’s Dean’s Advisory Committee of the College of Arts and Sciences. He has served as secretary/treasurer of medical staff for Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, Medical Executive Committee, and chair of the Bylaws Committee. He has recently completed tenure on St. Luke’s Health Partners Board.

Dr. Mallea has been active as a sub-investigator in clinical research since 2006.

Prior to his medical education, Dr. Mallea earned his bachelor's degree in zoology from Idaho State University, graduating magna cum laude. In his free time, he enjoys bicycling, beekeeping, and gardening.
