Julie D. Lyon, MD is a hospitalist and board certified in internal medicine. She has been involved in the development of two hospital-based antimicrobial stewardship programs and was a member of many MEC and governing boards. She is the VP-MEC at Advanced Care Hospital of Montana and serves on the Utilization Review Committee. Dr. Lyon has experience training medical, pharmacy, and nursing students; interns and residents in internal and family medicine; physician assistants; nurse practitioners; and patients and their families.
Originally from Idaho, Dr. Lyon earned her bachelor's degree in bacteriology from the University of Idaho, graduating magna cum laude and contributing to research in isolating and identifying staphylococcus aureus type c animal toxins. She maintains memberships in the Society of Hospital Medicine and the American College of Physicians.
