About James Liaw

Biography

James Liaw, PT, DPT, CSCS is a doctor of physical therapy licensed in the state of Idaho. He specializes in sports-related injuries and post-operative rehabilitation for athletes of all ages.

James is passionate about providing education and personalized treatment plans to his patients to help them in achieving their goals. He believes that individualized one-on-one care is the key to returning his patients to sport in fewer visits and reducing risk for re-injury. He also has special interest in assisting and educating climbers on injury prevention, performance enhancement, and reaching their climbing goals, indoors and out.

James earned his bachelor's degree in exercise biology from the University of California, Davis and his doctorate of physical therapy from Regis University. He then completed the sports physical therapy residency program at St. Luke's, working with two local high school, Northwest Nazarene University, and the Idaho Steelheads. He is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the NSCA.
