About Matthew A. Kopplin

Biography

Matthew Kopplin, MD practices hip and knee replacement surgery. He has specific interests in accelerated recovery programs utilizing multi-modal pain management and less invasive techniques. Dr. Kopplin performs direct anterior hip replacements; revision and complex primary hip arthroplasties; total, partial, and revision knee replacements.

For the knee, Dr. Kopplin utilizes patient-specific kinematic alignment protocols with medial pivot design total knee arthroplasties to optimize knee stability and ligament balance. This patient-specific approach aims to custom fit each knee to each patient’s individual anatomy.

For the hip, Dr. Kopplin has extensive experience utilizing the x-ray guided, direct anterior hip approach.

His past practice teams achieved certification as a Center of Excellence by Blue Cross and Blue Shield and The Joint Commission in hip and knee replacement.
