Jared S. Johnson, MD, ABOS, AAOS is a board certified, fellowship trained, orthopedic surgeon and fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. His fellowship training focused on the treatment of complex shoulder and knee conditions, as well as sports-related injuries. He has special interest in shoulder surgery and knee ligament reconstruction, performing a high volume of total and reverse total shoulder replacement, ACL reconstruction, and meniscal surgeries. His goal is to help his patients achieve their highest activity level possible.
Dr. Johnson earned his medical degree from Cornell Medical College, and at graduation was awarded the T. Campbell Thompson Award for excellence in orthopedic surgery by the faculty of the Hospital for Special Surgery, the oldest orthopedic hospital in the United States. He then completed his residency at UCLA Medical Center where he served as a chief resident. Following residency, he completed a fellowship at the world-renowned Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colorado. During his time in Vail, he received additional training in complex shoulder surgery, shoulder replacement, knee ligament reconstruction, and cartilage procedures. He also served as a team physician for the U.S. Ski and Snowboard teams.
