About R. Tyler Frizzell


R. Tyler Frizzell, MD earned his bachelor's degree from Duke University, and his doctorate in molecular physiology and biophysics from Vanderbilt University School. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He served his fellowship in neurology at the Queen's Square Institute of Neurology in London. Dr. Frizzell served as assistant professor of Neurological Surgery at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, AL.

He has worked with the Foundation for International Education in Neurological Surgery in Kathmandu, Nepal. As the president of Healthcare International Training and Assistance (HITA) he has performed neurological surgery and trained neurosurgeons in Concepcion, Chile.
