About Jennifer N. Eichmeyer

Biography

Jennifer Eichmeyer, MS, LCGC is an American Board of Genetic Counseling certified genetic counselor. She is the lead genetic counselor for the St. Luke's MSTI Genetic Counseling Program specializing in oncology genetics.

Jennifer is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors as well as the American College of Genetics and Genomics. She earned her bachelor’s degree in genetics from Iowa State University with a master’s degree in genetic counseling from University of Texas Health Science Center.  

Jennifer was involved in the development of a High Risk Breast Clinic, NICU genetics, implementation of universal screening for Lynch syndrome, and telehealth genetic counseling services. She was awarded the ACCCP Innovator award in 2013, St. Luke’s President’s award in 2014, and the ISCO Thomas M. Beck recognition award in 2016. Jennifer has published several original research articles and presented posters at numerous national genetics conferences. She continues to be interested in using the unique skill set of genetics professionals in non-traditional ways to improve access to and understanding of genetic information.
