About Elizabeth H. Cablik

Biography

Elizabeth "Liz" H. Cablik, NP specializes in foot and ankle orthopedics, offering customized treatment plans to new patients, assisting surgeon Dr. Kaitlin Neary in the operating room, and providing ongoing post-operative patient care. She manages a variety of conditions including chronic and acute foot and ankle pain, ankle sprains, Achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, arthritis of the foot and ankle, neuromas, hammertoes, bunions and bunionettes, and ingrown toenails.

Throughout evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment, Liz focuses on developing rapport with her patients. She emphasizes education and the overall health and well-being of the whole person. Liz tailors each patient's care plan to fit their unique needs and can quickly refer for surgery when appropriate. Whether a patient has incurred a sports injury with impaired performance or a congenital musculoskeletal deformity, her goal is to get her patients back to baseline activity level — happy, healthy, and enjoying their highest quality of life.

Liz earned bachelor's and master's degrees in nursing from Emory University and is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Pursuing both a master’s degree and nurse practitioner licensure provided an opportunity for her to blend the compassionate care of nursing with the diagnosis and treatment of health conditions. Liz was inspired to work in healthcare by her parents: her mother is a cardiovascular clinical nurse specialist and her father, Dr. Michael Coughlin, is a world-renowned foot and ankle surgeon. Prior to joining St. Luke's, Liz enjoyed working alongside her father until his retirement.

Originally from Boise, Liz loves the great outdoors. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, traveling, skiing, running, and hiking with their son and dog.
