About Daniel R. Brooks

Biography

Daniel Brooks, MD is a board certified ophthalmologist who is fellowship trained in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus. He specializes in amblyopia and strabismus (eye misalignment, or “lazy eye”), pediatric cataracts, and nasolacrimal duct obstruction (blocked tear ducts). He also treats adults with eye misalignment and double vision.

Dr. Brooks is an investigator in the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group (PEDIG), a national network involved in the research of common eye disorders in children.

Dr. Brooks earned his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University, graduating summa cum laude. He is also a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the Gold Humanism in Medicine Honor Society.

In his free time he enjoys backpacking, fly fishing, and spending time with his wife and five children.
