About Meghann R. Bostrom

Biography

Meghann Bostrom, NP-C specializes in caring for patients with heart failure. She is the first advanced practice provider in Idaho to be board certified through the Heart Failure Society of America HF-Cert program. In addition to direct patient care, Meghann has helped build the orientation process for all new advanced practice providers at St. Luke's and serves as a sub-investigator for multiple clinical research trials.

Meghann is passionate about spending valuable time with her patients in order to truly understand and meet their needs. She prioritizes education in all aspects of her career, ensuring her patients are well educated about their diagnoses and treatment options, providing education and training to her peers, and seeking out personal development opportunities.

Meghann earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from Washington State University (WSU) Intercollegiate College of Nursing and a master's degree as a nurse practitioner from Gonzaga University, graduating summa cum laude from both programs. During her time at WSU, she was recognized as an NCAA All-American Scholar Athlete and received the Clinical Excellence Award for her graduating class. Later, she worked as a critical care RN at St. Luke's Meridian and was awarded the March of Dimes Nurse of the Year: Rising Star Award. Meghann has also served as a professor for the nursing program at Northwest Nazarene University, where she was recognized as Female Professor of the Year in 2012.

Outside of work, Meghann loves spending time outdoors with her three kids and husband. She also enjoys reading, dancing/dance fitness, and listening to podcasts. She is also the head cheerleading coach for a local middle school where she helps young athletes discover a love for being active and supportive members of their community.
