About Joseph S. Black

Biography

Joseph "Audie" Black, Ph.D. is a board certified clinical neuropsychologist providing comprehensive cognitive, behavioral, and emotional assessments to adults with a particular emphasis on working with adults over 50. Dr. Black supports the normal-pressure hydrocephalus (NPH) program at St. Luke's, evaluating patients before, during, and after surgery.

Dr. Black earned his doctorate in clinical psychology at Michigan State University and completed his advanced clinical training and fellowship in neuropsychology at Allegheny General Hospital. He has taught at the undergraduate, graduate, and post-doctoral levels. He currently serves on the Executive Board of Directors for the American Board of Professional Neuropsychology (ABN), and is an examiner for candidates pursuing board certification.
