About Melody A. Austin

Biography

Melody Austin, LCPC specializes in client-centered therapy, a practice based on the idea that people are naturally motivated toward achieving positive mental and emotional functioning. She also utilizes awareness exercises, strength-based techniques, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused approaches to help those struggling with mood disorders, adjustment/stress reactions, social/behavioral concerns, grief and trauma. Melody recognizes how hard change can be and supports her clients by creating a comfortable and non-judgmental environment for change to occur. She has experience working with adults and teenagers.

Born and raised in Idaho, Melody obtained a bachelor’s degree in communication from Boise State University and a master’s degree in clinical counseling from Northwest Nazarene University.

In her free time, Melody spending time with friends and family and seeing new places. She never shies away from a game night.
