About Aya Andrews

Biography

Aya Andrews, NP specializes in cardiology, managing care for adult patients with chronic conditions such as heart failure. She is passionate about increasing access to high-quality care, especially for those with fragile health, multiple chronic/complex conditions, and limited access to resources. She recognizes that certain populations are more likely to delay medical care due to socioeconomic barriers, and strives to be a welcoming, genuine, and trusted health care partner.

Aya feels deeply connected to St. Luke's mission and philosophy, and loves being part of the St. Luke's cardiology team. She greatly appreciates that her colleagues are invested in the community and committed to excellence and innovation in cardiology care.

In addition to her role at St. Luke's, she also serves as a reservist officer in the United States Public Health Service Commission Corps. As part of a military family, she has a deep respect for the Armed Services and is passionate about caring for our veterans and their families.

Aya completed her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing at Boise State University with a focus on adult gerontology. She spent time overseas in Japan and has lived much of her life in Idaho. When not working, she loves spending time with her family, enjoying Idaho's great outdoors.
