Bariatric Surgery

It's your journey. It's your choice.

If you’re living with the disease of obesity, you know how dramatically it affects every aspect of your life. You also know your health is seriously at risk—you feel it every day. But you don’t have to go on struggling under the burden of morbid obesity. There’s hope, and people who care. If you’re considering weight loss surgery, choose St. Luke’s. Our surgeons are the most experienced in Idaho, with successful outcomes well above the national average. We’ll help you evaluate your options and choose the surgery that’s right for you. And we’ll be with you every step of the way—before, during, and after surgery.

PLEASE NOTE: We regret to inform you that Dr. Valentine passed away in a tragic accident on October 25, 2019. He was known for his commitment to patients, his balanced wisdom, and his willingness to take a stand for what he knew to be right. He had a kind heart, endearing him to colleagues, staff and patients alike. Dr. Valentine's life and work touched many throughout our region, and we appreciate the outpouring of support we've received.

Our clinic is committed to supporting Dr. Valentine's patients in a transition of care.  If you have an upcoming appointment or surgery scheduled with Dr. Valentine, our team will contact you in the coming weeks to discuss transitioning your care to another one of our bariatric surgeons.

Many of Dr. Valentine's patients have contacted the clinic asking for funeral details, or to inquire about contacting his family. While we do not have that information currently, we will post it here once the family has shared their plans and preferences. Thank you for your patience.
