Safe Sitter Seminar: Nampa
Safe Sitter® is a nationally recognized program designed for kids ages 11-13. During this class, your child will learn how to have fun with children in their care, the stages of child development and appropriate activities, how to prevent problem behaviors, recognize a medical emergencies and how to take appropriate action, and learn the business side of babysitting.

Tummy Time, Infant Massage, and More: Online
Back to sleep, tummy to play is recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics, but many newborn to pre-crawling infants struggle with tummy time. This class will introduce: tricks to help babies enjoy tummy time, infant massage tips for stimulating or soothing, techniques to nurture babies' body and brain development for sensory motor success, and activities and environments to help baby thrive, as well as those to avoid.

Safe Sitter Seminar: Boise
Safe Sitter® prepares students to learn how to be safe when they're home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. Students learn life-saving skills such as how to rescue someone who's choking, and helpful information like what to do if there's severe weather. The lessons are filled with fun activities and role-playing exercises. Students even get to use CPR manikins to practice CPR and choking rescue! Safety Skills: Students learn how to prevent unsafe situations and what to do when faced with dangers such as power failures or weather emergencies. Child Care Skills: Students learn tips to manage behavior that will help them stay in control of themselves and the children in their care. Students also learn the ages and stages of child development, as well as practice diapering. First Aid & Rescue Skills: Learning skills such as choking rescue and CPR is often students' favorite part of the class. Students also learn a system to help them assess and respond to injuries and illnesses. Life & Business Skills: The ability to screen jobs, discuss fees, and greet employers will set students up for success now and in the future. Students practice these skills through various role plays. *Student must be a minimum of 11 years of age and in GRADE 6 to attend.
Intuitive Birth: Boise
Prepare your body and mind for the incredible experience of childbirth and parenting that will offer you tools to reduce the effects of stress, create a sense of peace, and provide an optimal growing environment for your baby. The earlier you start these practices, the more benefit you will receive throughout your pregnancy.
In this four class series you will learn: • The anatomy and physiology of a normal birth • How to reduce the effects of stress • Meditative techniques that will help you prepare for birthing and parenting • How to cultivate a deeper connection to your body and your growing baby • To trust your body’s innate ability to give birth • How to envision your own birth environment to support the experience you desireIncorporating mindfulness-based techniques such as yoga, meditation and relaxation during pregnancy have been shown to be the best way to prepare for birth both physically and mentally, even if your pregnancy and labor require a higher level of intervention. These techniques help you and your baby’s immune systems and reduce stress which can affect a growing fetus—leading to complications and a more difficult birth.
