ALERT

We are experiencing high call volumes in response to expanded COVID vaccination scheduling. Vaccine supplies in Idaho are limited. Please do not call St. Luke’s clinics directly regarding COVID-19 vaccination. Appointments are made through myChart as vaccine is available; we are not able to accommodate walk-ins. Unless you need to call for an emergency, you are encouraged to use myChart for questions and appointments at this time. Find additional information here.

Certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA)

Certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA)

Certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) are registered nurses (RNs) who have advanced education and clinical training in anesthesiology. CRNAs work with anesthesiologists, surgeons, dentists, and podiatrists in administering anesthesia during medical procedures.

A CRNA must graduate from a program accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs and pass a certification examination administered by the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.

CRNAs are licensed by the states in which they practice.
