Breastfeeding is good for you and your baby. Lifelong benefits for baby include reduced risk for acute illnesses, obesity, cancer, cardiovascular disease, type 1 and type 2 diabetes, and allergies. And for mothers, breastfeeding decreases your risk for osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and postpartum depression.
Employees and spouses enrolled in the St. Luke's Health System employee health care plan may be eligible for a free electric breast pump. For more information, contact Select Health at 1-800-538-5038.
How do you define health? Physical? Mental? Social? Health goes beyond medical care. It's how we take care of ourselves, how we interact with our communities, how we take care of each other.
Let St. Luke's support your health, however you define it.
