St. Luke’s Canyon View provides inpatient psychiatric care for adults 18 and older, including those with complex medical or social needs. We treat a wide range of serious mental health conditions, including mood, psychotic, personality, substance use, and neuropsychiatric disorders. All admissions follow Idaho and federal statutes.

Safe and Secure Facility
Canyon View is a free-standing, secure facility. Telephones are available for patient use. Our campus is tobacco- and drug-free (nicotine replacement therapy is available).
Multidisciplinary Care Team
Including a psychiatrist, advance practice clinician, psychiatric RN, social worker, case manager, patient advocate, occupational therapist and hospitalist.
Specialty Consultations
Experts in nutrition, physical therapy, vocational rehabilitation, integrative medicine, neuropsychological testing, chaplaincy, and more per care plans.
Structured Daily Activities
Patients will experience a mix of group and individual meetings, meals, and time with visitors. A schedule of activities is posted in the nursing station each day.

Visitor Information and Patient Essentials

All visitors must be at least 18 years of age, unless approved by the patient's treatment team.
Any individual who has been a patient at Canyon View in the previous 6 months may not visit.
The patient must schedule visitors during regularly scheduled visitation hours: 12-1 p.m. and 6-7 p.m.
Each patient may have either two 1/2-hour visits or a single 1-hour visit per day, unless approved by the patient's treatment team.
Each patient is allowed up to two visitors at a time.
The patient has the right to cancel a visit at any time.
All visitors must display appropriate behaviors and abide by the visitation rules.

Visitation may be limited or canceled at the discretion of the treatment team.

Entry Requirements

To ensure the safety and comfort of all patients, all visitors are screened upon entry to Canyon View. This includes a search of personal belongings to identify any items that may pose a risk. A full list of prohibited items is posted at the entrance and includes items such as electrical cords, recording devices, glass, cans, belts, nail files, matches, plastic bags, and more.
